Henry Irving
Head of Assurance
Henry Irving FCA ACSI leads and develops the assurance and quality practice, providing specialist client asset and internal audit services for investment management and financial services companies. He specialises in financial services assurance, and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, holding the Investment Operations Certificate for CASS.
Previously, Henry headed the Audit and Assurance Faculty at ICAEW representing the auditing profession to national and international policymakers, delivering technical training and professional development services, thought leadership and research. He has also been the finance director of an insurance company, non-executive director and held a variety of finance and internal audit positions in financial services businesses, having qualified at Deloitte and dedicated himself to audit in practice.

Zakir Karim ACA is the in-house CASS expert, providing his expertise across all of our service offerings. Zakir started his career in external audit, primarily working in the financial services sector on both statutory and CASS audits. He transitioned into a consultancy role, broadening his CASS experience to include assurance engagements and advising clients on risk & regulatory matters. Through the years, Zakir has worked on several CASS skilled persons review (s166).
Zakir founded his own practice in 2015, serving clients across the financial services sector. His experience and clients included Tier-1 Banks, Large Asset Management Firms and Insurance Brokers. Zakir frequently delivers CASS training to industry practitioners, with a particular focus on the latest regulatory and audit developments.
Outside of CASS, Zakir has managed a number of high-profile advisory engagements including a SYSC8 review at a large European Bank sanctioned by the FCA; a review of Governance & Culture at an Asset Management firm following a fine by the FCA; Board Effectiveness Reviews; and creating the framework for the Bank of England Stress Testing at one of the leading UK banks.
Mike Marcus FCA FCCA FRSA leads and develops the advisory practice at IKMP. He specialises in auditing, accounting, due diligence and corporate finance work, valuations and compliance with Audit Regulations and the FCA Rulebook including CASS. His extensive sphere of technical knowledge covers the audit of regulated entities (including client monies) as well as due diligence and forensic work, valuations, corporate restructuring and mergers and acquisitions. Mike is a registered auditor and clients include insurance brokers, corporate finance firms, fund management companies, IFA’s and solicitors.
Mike began his career with Deloitte Haskins and Sells and has worked in the Technical and Training departments of Grant Thornton and BDO Binder Hamlyn before becoming Technical and Compliance Partner for a number of medium-sized firms in the west end of London and operates his own consultancy company offering technical support to small and medium-sized firms of accountants. He is a well-known technical expert and lectures on accounting, auditing, and money laundering (including lecturing for the ICAEW and ACCA).
Sadik Premji FCCA is a Partner and Responsible Individual at IKMP, leading and developing the audit practice. He specialises in auditing, accounting, due diligence and corporate finance work. Sadik has been involved in advising clients on CASS regulations and CASS audits. His extensive sphere of technical knowledge covers the audit of regulated entities (including client monies) as well as advising SME owners on accounting and tax matters.
Sadik is a registered auditor and his clients include investment advisory firms, solicitors, retail, healthcare and property development.
Sadik began his career with a small firm in Harrow and then moved onto a 13 partner mid-tier firm before setting up his own firm in 2013.
